After 3 major storms, the runway sustained some major damage. Sections of runway were blown up in the various storms, so it became imperative to repair the entire runway once the weather was cooler. The board made recommendations, and the club approved the runway replacement, using the same material we had used on previous projects. Work was started on Friday, December 13, with two rolls of material installed. The remaining work was completed on Saturday, December 14. Thanks to the great participation of club members (10 people helped on Friday; 26 people helped on Saturday), the runway was replaced in about 5 hours total. The runway looks great as can be seen in the photos below.
